How to Choose a 4 Post Car Lift

Decide first if the lift is for parking a second car or for service work. Then pick capacity, runway length and the accessories you need.

Storage Lifts

  • Atlas Garage PRO Series — PRO8000 (8,000 lb), PRO8000EXT extra tall, PRO8000EXT-L extra tall and extra long, PRO7000ST super tall (7,000 lb) and PRO9000 (9,000 lb).
  • Atlas Apex 8 and Apex 9 — ALI certified 8,000 and 9,000 lb lifts.
  • KATOOL — KT-4H850 (8,500 lb, jack tray, drip trays and caster kit included), KT-4H950 storage lift (9,500 lb, 80.7 in. lift height) and KT-4H110 (11,000 lb).
  • Others — Atlas 408SL portable 8,000 lb, Rotary EFP8 enthusiast lift, ATD 4P8B and 4P9DXL with extended runways.

Heavy Duty and Alignment Lifts

  • Heavy Duty — Atlas 412 (12,000 lb) and 414 (14,000 lb), KATOOL KT-4H120X (12,000 lb with a free RJ7K rolling jack), Rotary SM14 (14,000 lb), Challenger 4P14EFX, 4P14XFX and 4115EFX (14,000 to 15,000 lb).

4 Post Lift with Jacks

A rolling jack rides on the runways and lifts the wheels free for brake and suspension work. Jacks here range from the Atlas ProJack 35 (3,500 lb) to the Rotary RJ9100Y (9,000 lb), including the ALI certified Atlas Platinum RJ7000. For a lift and jacks in one order, see the Atlas lift combos.

Storage Accessories

  • Atlas Pro-Floor 8-Piece Combos — PRO8000, PRO8000EXT, PRO8000EXT-L, 408SL and APEX8 lifts bundled with a floor panel set. The Atlas FP8 panel set is also sold on its own for 8,000 lb 4-post lifts.
  • KATOOL KT-CR2 Caster Kit — Fits the KT-4H110 so the lift can be moved.
