How to Choose an Aluminum Walk Ramp

Start with deck height. A longer ramp gives a gentler walk up to the same floor, but carries less weight. Then pick the width your carts need and decide where the ramp rides between stops.

Vestil Wheel Walk Ramps (AWR-28)

• Width — 28" overall, 26" usable, with 1-1/2" safety curbs.
• Length — 4' to 16'. The number in the model code is the length in feet, so AWR-28-10A is a 10' ramp.
• Capacity — Vestil rates by cart type. The 6' AWR-28-6A carries 2,800 lb with a 4-wheel cart and 2,000 lb with a 2-wheel cart.
• Height Range — listed per model. The 6' ramps cover 6" to 21" or 23".

Vestil Grip-Strut Walk Ramps (AWR-G)

These ramps use a Grip-Strut deck and come in 28" or 38" widths. The 38" models give 36" of usable width. The 10' AWR-G-38-10A-HR covers deck heights from 6" to 38" and is rated 2,200 lb with a 4-wheel cart.

• 26" Wide, Hook-End or Plate-End — 10' at 1,750 lbs, 12' at 1,500 lbs, 14' at 1,250 lbs, 16' at 1,000 lbs.
• 40-1/2" Wide, Plate-End — 10' and 12' at 2,000 lbs, 14' at 1,750 lbs, 16' at 1,500 lbs.

What is the best walk ramp for box truck deliveries?

For daily route work, a slider walk ramp stays under the truck so the driver does not lift it in and out at each stop. For occasional use, a 26" hook-end ramp hooks onto the truck floor.

Which moving ramp for a truck has hand rails?

Vestil models ending in -HR add hand rails, on both the wheel walk and Grip-Strut ramps. The AWR-G-38-10A-HR has 96" of usable rail length.

How is a Vestil aluminum walk ramp rated?

Vestil gives two capacities per truck walk ramp: one for a 2-wheel cart and a higher one for a 4-wheel cart. HD Ramps gives a single walking capacity.
