How the Slider Works

The bracket bolts under the truck body and carries the ramp on its own track. At the stop the driver pulls the ramp out until the stop plate catches, lifts the free end, and drops it into the sill slots.

That sequence takes one person and no lifting from a bent position. Compared with wrestling a full-length ramp out of the cargo area, it removes the part of the job that hurts people.

Going back on is the reverse: lift the end clear of the sill, push it home on the track, close the door and lock it.

Bracket and Ramp as One Unit

The bracket is powder-coated aluminum. It sits below the body where it collects everything the road throws up, which is exactly why it is not bare steel.

Because the ramp and the bracket are matched, the ramp seats the same way every time and the door closes on it without adjustment. A ramp and a bracket bought separately rarely line up that cleanly.

Overall the kit runs 17' 11-1/4" long, 28" wide and 5-1/4" tall as mounted.
