A Footprint That Fits the Bay You Have
The XA14 is over 34% narrower than a traditional four-post lift, at 7' 8-1/8" overall width with 26" runways set 40" apart. That difference is what lets a shop put a dedicated alignment rack into a bay that was never going to hold a four-post.
There are two installation options. A surface installation sets the lift on the floor and uses the two standard self-chocking ramps and ramp extensions to load the vehicle, with an 11" lowered height and 72" of rise. A flush installation drops the lift into the floor for a smaller footprint still, a flat working surface, and 61" of rise.
The base plate leveling system and the optional shim kit handle floors that are not perfectly flat, and the minimum bay size is 13' x 28'. If a tower camera aligner or an ADAS calibration system is going to share the bay, allow for the space that equipment calls for in front of the lift.
Set Up for Four-Wheel and Two-Wheel Alignment Work
The 217" runways carry four-wheel alignment wheelbases from 81.5" to 168" and two-wheel alignments up to 189". Two turning radius gauges and the rear slip plates come as standard equipment rather than as an add-on package, so the lift arrives ready for alignment work.
The rear slip plate locks are air actuated and controlled from the operations panel. The technician sets and releases the rear steers without walking back and forth to the rack, which takes a step out of every alignment.
Adjustable lighting is recessed into the runways and positioned along their length, so the underside of the vehicle is lit where the technician is actually working. The lift is compatible with Rotary alignment systems, and the open front-to-rear design keeps the wheels and suspension reachable from either side.
