Description

12,000 lb Rotary SPO12 Symmetric Two-Post Lift, Shockwave Equipped

A 12,000 lb lift is slow on standard power. A full minute up, and about the same coming back down. Run thirty cars through that bay in a day and you have spent half an hour watching a lift move.

The Rotary SPO12 is a symmetric two-post lift rated for 12,000 lbs, built on Rotary's original “Double S” columns with three-stage arms and polymer truck adapters. This build is Shockwave equipped: a 5 HP, 110V power unit that takes the lift to full rise in 25 seconds instead of 60.

Why Choose the SPO12 Shockwave

It is the only 12,000 lb lift here built with Rotary's Shockwave power — full rise in 25 seconds instead of 60.

  • Shockwave power puts full rise at 25 seconds, against 60 seconds for the same lift on standard 2 HP power. Choose this build when cycle time is what the bay is losing.
  • 12,000 lbs of capacity, 2,000 lbs more than the SPO10 Shockwave, on the same Shockwave power system.
  • Rotary publishes the complete height set for this standard build — 13' 8" overall and a 13' 9" minimum ceiling — so the bay can be measured before the lift is ordered.
  • Three-stage arms carry polymer truck adapters and reach 27 1/2" to 59", sized for framed trucks and vans.

What's Included

  • SPO12 symmetric two-post lift with original “Double S” columns
  • Shockwave power unit, 5 HP / 110V
  • Three-stage arms with polymer truck adapters for framed vehicles
  • Adjustable thread-up adapters with stackable inserts and storage rack

Made For

Rotary calls the SPO12 a medium-duty symmetric lift, optimal for shops working on taller, heavier vehicles.

  • Auto repair shops that have outgrown a 10,000 lb two-post lift
  • Truck and van fleets servicing framed vehicles on polymer adapters
  • High-volume bays where waiting on the lift is the bottleneck
  • Shops with a standard-height bay that clears 13' 9"

Features

  • 12,000 lb capacity — medium-duty symmetric lifting for taller, heavier vehicles
  • 5 HP / 110V Shockwave power — full rise in 25 seconds, against 60 seconds on standard power
  • 75 3/4" – 78 1/8" rise — measured at the lowest and highest position of the supplied adapters
  • Three-stage arms — 27 1/2" to 59" of reach front and rear, with polymer truck adapters
  • Original “Double S” column design — Rotary's own column profile, named on the SPO12 cutsheet
  • 13' 8" overall height — the standard build, with a published 13' 9" minimum ceiling height
  • Performance tested to 20,000 lift cycles — Rotary's own endurance standard for the SPO12 series
  • ALI Gold Certified — independently certified to the industry lift standard

Shockwave Power Cuts the Wait

Shockwave is Rotary's high-speed power option for the SPO12. It replaces the standard 1-phase 2 HP 208-230V unit with a 5 HP unit running on 110V.

What that buys is time. Rotary publishes a full rise of 25 seconds on the Shockwave build against 60 seconds on standard power, so the same lift does the same work in well under half the time.

Those seconds are the ones a tech spends standing still. On a bay turning over a dozen or more vehicles a day, the saved cycles are the difference between finishing a job and starting the next one.

Symmetric Lifting on Double S Columns

The SPO12 is a true symmetric lift. The vehicle's center of gravity sits directly between the columns, so the load is carried evenly across both carriages.

Rotary builds it on the original “Double S” column design, and performance tests the SPO12 series to 20,000 lift cycles.

Arms are three-stage, reaching from 27 1/2" in to 59" out, front and rear. They carry polymer truck adapters that thread up for height and take stackable inserts, so the same set of arms picks up a low car and a framed work truck.

Sized to Your Bay

This is the standard-height, standard-width build. Overall height is 13' 8", and Rotary publishes a minimum ceiling height of 13' 9" — measure the finished clearance in the bay before ordering, not the joists.

On the floor it takes 11' 5 5/8" of overall width with 102 3/8" of drive-thru clearance and 114 7/8" between the inside of the columns. Rotary calls for a minimum bay of 12' x 26', and the arms drop to a minimum adapter height of 4 3/4".

The Right Two-Post Lift for Your Shop

The SPO12 Shockwave puts 12,000 lbs of ALI Gold Certified symmetric lifting on Rotary's original “Double S” columns, with 5 HP Shockwave power that cuts full rise to 25 seconds. Don't wait — scroll back up and click the orange Add to Cart button to get this two-post lift on its way to your shop.
