Built on the Double-S Column
Rotary's Double-S column is the structural core of every lift in the SPO series, and it is what all three builds on this page share. The column, the carriage and the hydraulics are the same machine whichever configuration you order. What changes is the power supply, the color, and on the blue build, the height and width package.
That column is why the SPO12 runs a full 75 3/4" to 78 1/8" rise in 60 seconds under a 12,000 lb load. It is also what Rotary submits for ALI Gold certification, which is tested on the assembled machine rather than claimed on a spec sheet.
Drive-thru clearance is set at install, not at the factory. All three builds offer the same three width settings, so the same lift can sit tight in a narrow bay or open up an extra 12" of drive-thru for wide vehicles.
Three Builds, One Platform
Power is the first fork. Two of the three builds take 460V three-phase, which suits a shop already running three-phase service to the bay. The third takes 230V single-phase and drops into an ordinary shop panel. Same lift, same capacity, different supply.
Color is the second. Blue and red are both factory finishes, not a coating applied later.
The third fork is the configuration itself. Two builds are Rotary's standard SPO12. The blue build is the extended height and width package, which gives more column height for high-roof bodies and a wider stance between the columns. If your ceiling is tight or your bay is narrow, that is the build to look at closely before ordering.
