Description

Rotary Tire Changer and Wheel Balancer Combo for High-Volume Wheel Service

A tire bay runs on two machines. When one of them is a generation behind the other, every job slows to the pace of the weaker one. Rims keep getting bigger and lower-profile, and an older changer starts leaving marks the shop has to pay for.

This package pairs Rotary's R146RP Swingarm Pro tire changer with the R155 Pro 3D wheel balancer. The changer clamps rims from 10" to 26" externally and takes tires up to 46", with a pneumatic helper arm standard for the heavy low-profile work. The balancer measures the wheel with 3D sensor technology and finishes a cycle in 6 seconds, accurate to 1 gram.

Why Choose the R146RP and R155 Pro

The PLUS91SA air-driven helper arm comes standard on the changer, so the hardest part of a low-profile mount is handled out of the box.

  • 6,745 lb of bead breaker force at 145 PSI takes a stubborn bead down without a second pass.
  • The hand-controlled bead breaker puts the operator in charge of how hard the blade bites, and 885 ft-lb of chuck torque holds the rim through the whole demount.
  • Wheels come off the balancer inside 1 gram on a 6-second cycle, with the internal data arm reading distance and diameter automatically.
  • Both machines run on 110V single-phase 60 Hz power, the same supply already feeding most bays.

What's Included

  • Rotary R146RP Swingarm Pro tire changer
  • Rotary R155 Pro 3D auto passenger wheel balancer
  • PLUS91SA air-driven helper arm
  • Plastic mounting and demounting head, supplied with two tool heads
  • Storage cabinet and valve tray
  • Tire paste lubricant and brush
  • Balancer calibration kit and calibration weight
  • Width calipers and weight pliers

Made For

This pairing suits any bay that turns wheels all day and cannot afford a machine holding up the line.

  • High-volume independent tire shops
  • New and used car dealership service departments
  • General auto repair shops adding wheel service
  • Fleet and municipal maintenance garages
  • Shops bringing up apprentice technicians on production work

Features

  • Hand-controlled bead breaker — the operator feels the bead let go and can ease off before the blade reaches the rim.
  • Extra-wide tool shaft, 15" maximum tire width — POWER IN, PARK and POWER OUT actions work on low-profile and large steel or alloy rims.
  • Standard plastic mounting and demounting head — an updated profile built for reduced contact with the rim and the weak spots of the tire.
  • PLUS91SA pneumatic helper arm — a lower bead lifting roller and a pneumatic top bead pressing tool for large and specialty tires.
  • Encapsulated air tank built into the changer — the tank lives inside the cabinet, so the floor space behind the machine stays open.
  • 3D sensor measurement, 10" to 30" rims — the balancer reads rim width itself instead of waiting for a typed number.
  • 19" color monitor with glovable touchpad — inputs register with shop gloves on.
  • Automatic cycle control — the balancer starts when the hood comes down, stops at the external unbalanced position, rotates to the internal side and stops there too.

The R146RP Swingarm Pro Changer Side

The R146RP is built around operator control. Its bead breaker is hand-controlled rather than pedal-controlled, which matters on alloy rims: the technician feels the moment the bead releases and can stop pushing before the blade travels far enough to mark the wheel. It is also less tiring across a full day than working a pedal.

The clamping range covers 10" to 26" from the outside and 12" to 28.5" from the inside, with a maximum tire diameter of 46" and a maximum width of 15". The extra-wide tool shaft carries three working positions — POWER IN, PARK and POWER OUT — so the same machine handles a low-profile performance tire and a large steel truck rim without a change of setup.

Two details raise the ceiling on what the bay can take on. The PLUS91SA helper arm is a pneumatic bead top-pressing and tire-lifting device with a lower bead lifting roller, standard on this build rather than an add-on. And the storage compartment keeps valve stems, valve cores and the rest of the consumables at the machine, where the technician already is.

The R155 Pro 3D Balancer Side

The R155 Pro measures with 3D sensor technology, which removes the step where a wrong number gets typed in. The internal data gauge picks up distance and diameter, and rim width is read automatically. The system stores those measurements, so a set of four matched wheels does not get measured four times.

Cycle time is 6 seconds at a rotation speed under 100 RPM, and the read-out resolves to 1 gram. Rim capacity runs 10" to 30" in diameter and 1.5" to 22" in width, with a maximum tire diameter of 44" and a maximum wheel assembly weight of 154 lbs.

Operation is deliberately easy to learn. Interactive prompts walk the technician through each step, automatic programs cover the routine work, and the standard 19" color monitor pairs with a durable touchpad that accepts gloved input. The machine handles the sequence itself: it starts when the hood is lowered and stops at each unbalanced position on its own.

The Right Tire Machine Combo for Your Shop

The R146RP takes rims to 26" and tires to 46" with the helper arm already fitted; the R155 Pro balances those wheels to 1 gram in 6 seconds and measures them for you. Together they cover the passenger and light-truck work that fills a wheel bay, on one power supply and one order. Don't wait — scroll back up and click the orange Add to Cart button to get this tire machine combo on its way to your shop.
