Description

Katool KT-MC2 Motorcycle Wheel Adaptor Kit for Katool Balancers

A motorcycle wheel mounted on a car balancer's standard cone sits off-centre by a fraction, and a fraction is all it takes. The machine reads an imbalance that is really a mounting error, and the weight goes on in the wrong place.

The Katool KT-MC2 centres the wheel properly on a KT-B700 or KT-B760 shaft. The reading then describes the wheel rather than the setup, and the balance actually holds on the road.

Why Choose the KT-MC2

Correct mounting is the whole of motorcycle balancing.

  • Centred shaft mounting for bike hubs — the wheel runs true on the shaft, so the readout is the wheel's imbalance and not the fixture's.
  • Fits KT-B700 and KT-B760 balancers — the machine already in the bay does the work.
  • Quick attachment system — switch between car and bike wheels in the middle of a shift.
  • Precision-engineered fit — built to the tolerance the reading depends on.

Made For

Built for shops already running a Katool balancer.

  • Tire shops adding motorcycle service
  • Powersports and motorcycle dealerships
  • Independent auto repair shops with bike customers
  • Mobile tire service operations
  • Restoration and custom bike builders

Features

  • Centred mounting platform for motorcycle hubs — true running on the balancer shaft
  • Compatible with KT-B700 and KT-B760 — direct fit to the existing shaft
  • Quick attachment system — fast switching between vehicle types
  • Precision-engineered — tolerances matched to a ±1 g machine
  • Handles motorcycle weight distribution — designed for bike wheel geometry
  • Uses the balancer you own — no separate bike balancing station
  • Repeatable results — the same wheel reads the same way twice
  • Simple installation — no modification to the balancer

Mounting Error Reads as Imbalance

A balancer measures the difference between where mass is and where the axis of rotation is. If the wheel is not centred on the shaft, the machine sees that offset as imbalance and asks for weight to correct it.

Add the correcting weight, take the wheel off, put it on the bike, and the imbalance is still there — plus the weight that should never have gone on. That is why improvised bike mounting on a car balancer produces wheels that read perfect and vibrate anyway.

The KT-MC2 gives the motorcycle hub a proper centred seat on the shaft. Once the wheel runs true on the machine, the numbers on the display describe the wheel, and the correction actually corrects something.

Fast Enough to Actually Get Used

Motorcycle work arrives between car jobs. A conversion that takes real time gets postponed until it never happens, so the adaptor uses a quick attachment system — fitted for a bike, removed for the next car, no tools scattered across the bay.

Precision is what the fit is built around. On a machine reading to ±1 gram, a fixture that introduces its own error defeats the point of the machine, so the tolerances here are matched to what the balancer can resolve.

The result is a shop that can quote motorcycle balancing with confidence rather than hedging — on equipment already paid for.

The Right Motorcycle Adaptor for Your Shop

To balance bike wheels properly on a balancer you already own, the KT-MC2 is the part: centred shaft mounting, a quick attachment, and a direct fit to the KT-B700 and KT-B760.
