One Refrigerant Per Machine
The Dual AC2100 is built to service either R-1234YF or R-134A and ships with couplers for both. You pick which refrigerant it runs when it goes into service.
Once it has run one refrigerant, it stays dedicated to that one. Some refrigerant stays in the internal hoses, lines, valves and filters even after evacuation. Swapping the tank or couplers doesn't clear it, and the machine has no sensor to confirm it's gone. Because of refrigerant handling regulations and safety requirements, it can't be switched over.
Shops servicing both refrigerants every day need one machine per refrigerant.
The whole cycle is automatic. Recovery, evacuation, oil injection and charging run in sequence once started, which frees the tech for other work instead of standing at the machine between stages.
Accuracy Where the Refrigerant Is Expensive
Charging is measured on high-precision load cells reading to ±0.04 oz, delivering a charge accurate to ±0.5 oz (15 g). On R-1234YF at current prices, that precision pays for itself in refrigerant that does not get vented or wasted — and it prevents the under-charge that brings a car straight back.
Recovery hits a minimum of 95% in under 30 minutes at 70–75°F, running at 39.7 lb/h, with charging at 2.2 lb/min. The 3.6 CFM dual-stage vacuum pump pulls moisture and air out quickly, which is the step most often cut short on a busy day.
The 7-inch touchscreen carries an integrated vehicle database, so charge capacity comes from the machine rather than a laminated chart. Hoses are 9.8 ft and SAE J2788 compliant, the filter-drier is a 175 lb spin-on, and the machine runs on standard 110V AC.
