Above the drawers, a lockable top till opens on full-extension gas struts that hold the lid up while you work.

The body is 16 gauge (1.5 mm) steel and the drawers are 18 gauge (1.2 mm), finished in a 3.2 mil UV protective high gloss powder coat.
