Description

60" x 63" Aluminum Dock Board — 20,000 lbs Capacity

A steel dock plate takes two people and a pallet jack to move. Every time the trailer changes, someone is wrestling it across the dock.

This board is aluminum, so it moves without a crew, and it still carries 20,000 lbs. It measures 60" x 63" and handles a 7" height difference between dock and trailer, with a commercial-grade epoxy grit coat on the deck.

Why Choose This Aluminum Dock Board

Same 20,000 lbs rating as a steel plate, at a weight one person can reposition.

  • 20,000 lbs — rated for a loaded forklift crossing, not just a pallet jack.
  • Handles a 7" difference between dock and trailer floor.
  • Epoxy grit coat deck keeps its bite under steel forks instead of polishing smooth.
  • 72" lifting chains so one person can reposition it.

Made For

Built for docks that load and unload trailers with powered equipment every day.

  • Distribution centers and warehouses
  • Manufacturing shipping docks
  • Cold storage and food distribution
  • Third-party logistics operations
  • Retail distribution and cross-dock facilities

Features

  • 20,000 lbs — the rated crossing load, machine and pallet together.
  • 60" length — the run that spreads the height difference into a crossable slope.
  • 63" width — wide enough for a counterbalance forklift to cross without aiming.
  • 7" height differential — the dock-to-trailer step this board is engineered to bridge.
  • Epoxy grit coat — bonded to the deck rather than painted on, so it survives steel forks.
  • 72" lifting chains — built in, so the board is repositioned by hand or by fork.
  • High-strength Aluminum — a fraction of the weight of a steel plate at the same rating.
  • Made in the USA — built in an American plant.

Aluminum Instead of Steel

The reason this board is aluminum is weight. A steel plate at the same rating is a two-man lift and usually stays wherever it was dropped, which means it is in the wrong place half the time.

Aluminum also does not rust. A dock plate spends its life half in the weather at the edge of the building, and paint on steel does not last there.

The rating is 20,000 lbs. That is the load crossing the board — count the truck and the pallet together, not just the pallet.

Setting It on the Dock

Lay the board so both ends have full bearing — the dock edge at one end, the trailer floor at the other. A board bridging on a corner is a board that will move.

This one is engineered for a 7" difference between the two levels. Outside that, the slope changes and so does what crosses it safely.

The grit coat needs nothing but sweeping. Grit sitting on top of grit is what makes a surface slick, so keep the deck clear.

The Right Dock Board for Your Building

If your dock crosses a 7" step with powered equipment, this board is sized for it: 60" x 63" at 20,000 lbs.
