Description

5 HP Two-Stage Reciprocating Compressor on a 60 Gal Vertical Tank, Single Phase

A small compressor can't keep up with impact guns and air tools. Pressure drops, tools stall, and the job slows down.

The Chicago Pneumatic RCP-561VNS is a 5 HP two-stage reciprocating compressor on a 60 gal vertical tank. It delivers 15.3 cfm at 100 psi and runs on 208-230V single phase.

Why Choose the RCP-561VNS

Two-stage, 5 HP air on single-phase power.

  • 15.3 cfm at 100 psi (18.6 cfm displacement) from a two-stage pump
  • 208-230V, 1-phase β€” no three-phase service needed
  • Cast iron pump β€” solid cast iron cylinder, crankshaft and valve plates
  • 60 gal vertical ASME tank on a 29 Γ— 20 in footprint

Made For

Built for shops that run air tools every day.

  • Auto repair and maintenance shops
  • Tire shops
  • Body shops
  • Fleet maintenance garages
  • Home garages with 230V single-phase service

Features

  • 5 HP two-stage pump β€” two compression stages to feed impact guns and air tools
  • 15.3 cfm @ 100 psi β€” free air delivery (18.6 cfm displacement)
  • 60 gal vertical ASME tank β€” air storage with ASME tank and safety valves
  • 208-230V single phase β€” runs where three-phase power isn't available
  • Magnetic starter β€” standard on the two-stage RCP line
  • Start/stop pressure switch β€” runs when the shop needs air
  • Fully enclosed belt guard β€” keeps hands clear of the drive
  • Manual tank drain and discharge valve β€” simple condensate draining and hookup

A Pump Built From Cast Iron

The RCP pump has a solid cast iron cylinder, crankshaft and valve plates. The aluminum head and coolers have deep fins to get rid of heat.

Balanced pistons and crankshaft run smoother and quieter. Oversized main bearings, replaceable insert bearings and stainless steel reed valves are built for everyday use. Every unit is tested at full pressure.

Easy to Install and Maintain

The vertical 60 gal tank stands 68 in tall on a 29 Γ— 20 in footprint, so it fits in a corner. It weighs 300 lb.

Splash lubrication, an oil level sight gauge and an easy-access oil drain port keep maintenance simple. Chicago Pneumatic recommends the CPXHT-25 refrigerated dryer for this model, sold separately.
