The Extra Foot Buys the Angle
Between the 8 ft and 9 ft sets there is only one meaningful difference, and it is the one that decides whether the ramp works for your vehicle.
Into a standard trailer deck both are fine. Into a lifted pickup, the extra 12 inches takes several degrees off the climb — enough to keep a low trike's rear end off the crest and enough to keep traction as weight shifts back.
