Description

Black Widow BW-10812-2 Arched Dual Runner ATV Ramps — 9 Feet of Reach

A short ramp into a high tailgate makes a steep climb, and a steep climb is where a low-slung ATV drags its belly pan or spins a wheel at the crest. The fix is length and an arch, not more throttle.

The Black Widow BW-10812-2 is a pair of 9-foot arched aluminum runners rated at 1,200 lbs for the set. They fold in half to 4 ft 6-1/2 in, and each runner weighs only 21 lbs.

Why Choose the BW-10812-2

Length flattens the climb, the arch keeps the belly clear.

  • 9 ft of runner — a shallower approach angle into a truck bed than a 6 or 7 ft ramp gives.
  • Arched profile — extra clearance at the crest for low-slung machines that would otherwise ground out.
  • Serrated rungs 3 in apart — traction in mud, rain and snow rather than on a dry showroom floor only.
  • 21 lb per runner — carried one at a time with one hand, folded.

What's Included

  • Pair of Black Widow BW-10812-2 arched dual runner ATV ramps
  • Two safety straps
  • Attachment hardware

Made For

Built for loading a quad into a pickup or onto a trailer where the deck sits high.

  • ATV owners loading into a full-size truck bed
  • Low-clearance machines that scrape on straight ramps
  • Farm, hunting and property work in wet ground conditions
  • Trailers that need the ramps stowed short
  • Anyone who would rather carry 21 lbs than 42

Features

  • 9 ft runner length — a shallow angle into a high tailgate
  • 1,200 lb maximum capacity — rated for the pair
  • Arched design — clearance for low-slung ATVs at the crest
  • Serrated rungs at 3 in spacing — bite in mud, rain and snow
  • Powder-coated aluminum — light, and finished against corrosion
  • Folds to 4 ft 6-1/2 in — halves the stowed length
  • 21 lbs per runner — 42 lbs for the set, carried in two trips
  • Plate-style lip — seats the runner on the loading surface
  • Two safety straps included — ties the ramps to the vehicle
  • 11-1/4 in runner width — sized for ATV tyre tread

The Arch Is Not Cosmetic

On a straight ramp the steepest point is the top, right where the machine transitions onto the tailgate. A long machine with low ground clearance meets that break-over angle with its belly pan first.

An arched runner moves the peak of the climb into the middle of the ramp and flattens the transition at both ends. The quad drives on and off level instead of pivoting over an edge, which is easier on the frame and on the rider.

Combined with the full 9 feet of length, the arch is what makes a high truck bed loadable without a running start.

Traction Is a Rung Spacing Problem

Rungs spaced too far apart let a tyre drop between them and lose drive at the worst moment. These sit 3 inches apart and are serrated, so there is always tread engaged on a biting surface.

That matters most in the conditions ATVs actually get used in — wet grass, mud on the tyres, a trailer deck with frost on it. A smooth ramp is fine until any of that is true.

The runners are powder-coated aluminum, so they stay light at 21 lbs each while resisting the corrosion that eats a bare steel ramp left on an open trailer.

The Right ATV Ramps for Your Truck

To load a low-clearance quad into a high bed, the BW-10812-2 is the pair: 9 ft arched runners, 1,200 lbs capacity, folding to 4 ft 6-1/2 in.
