Rim-Clamp Swing-Arm Tire Changer with Dual Assist Arms & Beadblaster
Low-profile tires, stiff-sidewall run-flats, and modern UHP rubber resist demount on single-arm tire changers. Operators end up fighting the bead, prying at the rim, and putting wheels at risk of damage — every mount/demount cycle takes longer and tires the technician faster.
The Atlas TC289DAA is the dual-assist-arm version of the popular TC289. Both assist arms work the bead simultaneously, drastically reducing operator effort on every cycle. The built-in Beadblaster seats stubborn beads on first try, and the 5,500 lb bead breaker handles even the toughest sidewalls.

Why Dual Assist Arms Pay for Themselves
Single-arm changers force the operator to do the second half of the demount manually — prying the upper bead over the rim with a tire iron. On stiff sidewalls and large-diameter wheels, that's where most rim damage happens and where the operator burns the most energy.
The TC289DAA's dual assist arms hold the upper bead down on both sides of the rim simultaneously, so the mount/demount head works clean through the rotation without prying. Operators move through a tire bay's daily volume without fatigue, and the chance of cosmetic rim damage drops sharply.
The Beadblaster Difference for Low-Profile Tires
Modern low-profile and run-flat tires often refuse to seat with shop air alone — the bead sits below the rim safety bead and won't seal until pressurized. The TC289DAA's integrated Beadblaster delivers a high-volume air burst directly into the tire, popping the bead into place on the first attempt.
That means fewer tries with lube and a tire iron, less wear on the bead, and a faster, cleaner result on the customer's wheel — without buying a separate bead seating tank.
The Right Tire Changer for Your Shop
At 47" max tire diameter, 5,500 lb bead breaker force, and an 885 ft-lb turntable, the TC289DAA is sized for daily passenger-and-light-truck volume in a busy bay. The 1HP electric turntable and adjustable bead breaker plate cover wheel widths up to 18".
Filter/regulator/lubricator, large plastic jaw covers, plastic shovel cover, 20" tire tool, lube bucket with brush, and replacement plastic inserts all ship in the crate — the bay is ready to work once it's wired and aired up. Motorcycle and ATV adapters are available separately when the work calls for them.
