Extra Tall Without the Extra Length
Most "super tall" 4-post lifts get their extra height by lengthening the columns and the runways together. That works on paper but it costs you 18 to 24 inches of garage floor — exactly the space you need to walk around the lower vehicle once it's parked beneath the lift.
The PRO8000EXT was engineered the other way around. Atlas pushed the column height to 98 1/2" and lifting height to 84 1/4" at the top of the runway, but kept the runway length at 165 3/4" and the overall length at 206 3/4" — the same footprint as a standard PRO8000. You get the extra clearance for taller vehicles below without sacrificing the room you need to open doors and load gear.
Portable Caster Kit Storage System
The included caster kit installs in about 15 minutes — bolt the polyurethane wheels onto the column bases and the entire lift rolls on its own wheels. Pull it out into the driveway when you need the bay clear, or move it between two parking spots depending on which project you're working on.
When you're done, drop the lift back onto its leveling pads and the casters lift off the floor. No anchoring to the concrete, no special foundation work, no permit hassles — the PRO8000EXT is a free-standing portable lift designed for residential and light-duty restoration use.
