Symmetric and Asymmetric Arm Design
Most two-post lifts lock you into one arm configuration. The Atlas 9KOHX gives you both. In symmetric mode, the arms extend evenly on both sides of the column — ideal for trucks and SUVs where the weight is distributed more evenly.
Switch to asymmetric mode and the vehicle sits further back, putting the door opening outside the columns. That means easier access to the interior, engine bay, and underbody without fighting the lift posts. The minimum arm height of 4 1/2" gets under most low-profile cars without scraping.
Dual Direct-Drive Cylinders
The 9KOHX uses a dual direct-drive cylinder system instead of chains or screws. Direct drive means the hydraulic cylinder pushes the carriage straight up — no chains to stretch, no cables to adjust, no extra parts between the motor and the lift point.
Fewer moving parts translates to less maintenance and more consistent lifting over the life of the unit. The 220V single-phase motor runs on a standard 30 amp breaker, so most shops won't need an electrical upgrade to install it.
