Service Carts

Service cart models from Sunex Tools and Homak bring your tools to the vehicle instead of the other way around. Choose from 2 to 9 drawers, locking lids, slide tops and flat work surfaces, with load ratings from 350 to 800 lb. Power carts add built-in outlets and USB ports for cordless tools.

How to Choose a Service Cart

Three questions decide the cart: how much weight you carry, what kind of top you work on, and if you charge tools at the car. Width matters too, since a 50 in. cart needs a wider path between lifts than a compact one.

Top Styles

  • Locking Lid — A covered top bin that locks. Sunex 8013ADLX, 8045 and 8056FD; Homak 06035247 and 06043030 Big Dawg.
  • Slide Top — Top panels slide open for work space and lock the storage when closed. Sunex 8035 and Homak 06422407.
  • Flat Work Surface — A top you can set parts on all day. Sunex 8060XT with a rubber mat rated 150 lb; Homak 06044090 with stainless steel.

Capacity and Size

  • Compact (350–500 lb) — Sunex 8013ADLX, 8035 and 8045 for tight bays and smaller garages.
  • Mid Size — Sunex 8056FD, 39 in., 600 lb with 6 full-extension drawers. Homak RS Pro carts in 35 and 44 in. models, with drawers rated 100 lb per slide pair.
  • Large — Sunex 8060XT, 41 in., 800 lb with 8 drawers. Homak 06043030 Big Dawg, 43 in. wide and 25 in. deep with a bottom tray for bulky parts.

Power Carts

A power cart keeps chargers off the bench and cords off the floor. The Sunex 8065PC Juic'd Box is 50 in. and 700 lb with (6) 110V, (4) USB-A and (4) USB-C outlets and a power tool drawer that holds 20 tools. The Homak 06044080 and 06044090 have a power tool drawer with 4 outlets and 2 USB ports.

Graphic Editions

The Sunex 8056FD and 8065PC come in artist editions, including Tony Squindo, Pin-Up, Rosie the Riveter and American Eagle 250th designs. They share the size, drawers and capacity of the standard cart.

Service Cart FAQ

Can I lock the whole cart?

Yes on most models. Homak carts use the HMC High Security Locking System, and Sunex carts use keyed or barrel locks on the lid and drawers.

Which rolling tool cart is best for a small garage?

The Sunex 8035 compact slide top cart is built for tight bays, with 450 lb capacity and two locking casters.
