View full detailsA basement egress window must give a clear opening of at least 5.7 sq. ft., 20 in. wide and 24 in. high under the IRC.
Day to day it is a single hung egress window: the lower sash slides up to vent. In an emergency, one handle releases the multi-point lock and the frame swings in on four-bar stainless steel hinges.
How big should the rough opening be?
Frame a wood buck 1/4 in. larger than the window on every side.
Can I get grids, tan vinyl or tempered glass?
Yes, on request. Call 855-559-5589 before ordering.
