6,000 lb Portable Single Post Lift with Drive-Over Ramps
Permanently mounted above-ground 2-post and 4-post lifts tie up a bay even when the shop isn't using them — bad for a small commercial shop that needs the same floor for wheel service, brake work, and general repair on different days. Sometimes the right lift is one that rolls out of the way when the bay isn't actively lifting a vehicle.
The Atlas PSP-6000 is a 6,000 lb capacity portable single post lift with a 71 2/3" maximum lifting height, two-stage telescoping swing arms, and built-in drive-over ramps. It runs on 110 V single-phase through a 30-amp breaker, fits under a 9-foot (108") ceiling, and rolls out of the way when not in use.

Features
-
6,000 lb Capacity — Handles compact sedans up through full-size cars, light-duty SUVs, and small trucks — the practical capacity for portable single-post service work.
-
Portable Low-Profile Design — Rolls on a level concrete surface and stores in a corner when not in use — the bay floor stays open for other work.
-
Built-In Drive-Over Ramps — The ramps are part of the chassis, so a vehicle can drive over the lift to reach a back bay — no need to roll the lift away every time another car needs through.
-
Two-Stage Telescoping Swing Arms — Telescoping swing arms reach from 39.5" to 91.5" between lifting pads, accommodating the full range of unibody and frame-on-frame lifting points.
-
Locking Arm Restraints — Restraints automatically engage once the arms swing under the vehicle, preventing inadvertent contact during lifting.
-
8-Piece Truck Adapter Set Included — Four 2.75" and four 6" adapters, plus double screw-up adapters — sized to reach raised body-on-frame truck lift points without buying an extra adapter kit.
-
Chain-Break Safety Mechanism — If the lifting chain fails, the chain-break mechanism automatically locks the carriage in place — the lift cannot free-fall.
-
Fits Under a 9-Foot Ceiling — Overall column height is 102 3/4" (8' 6 3/4") — clears the typical 9' (108") residential garage ceiling without modification.
Portable Single Post Service Where a 2-Post Doesn't Fit
A 2-post lift permanently occupies the bay even when it's parked at the bottom of its travel. A portable single post like the PSP-6000 takes the lift off the floor when the work is done — wheel service in the morning, transmission rebuild in the afternoon, both in the same bay.
The single column houses the entire lifting mechanism. The two arms swing out at the bottom, capture the vehicle's lift points, and lift to a maximum height of 71 2/3" (about 5' 11") — high enough to walk under the vehicle for wheel, brake, and exhaust work without crouching.
Drive-Over Design Keeps the Bay Open
The chassis sits low to the floor with built-in ramps molded into both ends, so cars can drive over the parked lift without the operator moving it. That's the key advantage over a portable 2-post lift, which has to be wheeled completely out of the way every time another vehicle needs access to the back of the bay.
The 110 V motor pulls a standard residential 30-amp circuit — no 220 V wiring needed. Add 3-5 gallons of AW32 or AW46 hydraulic oil (not included), wheel it into position, and the lift is operational. The PSP-6000 is the same chain-and-carriage architecture as the larger Atlas single post lifts; the chain-break safety locks the carriage if the chain fails.
The Right Portable Lift for Your Shop
If your shop can't dedicate a bay to a 2-post lift but still needs real lifting height for wheel and brake work, the Atlas PSP-6000 gives you 6,000 lb capacity, 71 2/3" lift height, two-stage telescoping arms, and built-in drive-over ramps — all on a chassis that rolls out of the way between jobs.
The 8-piece truck adapter set comes in the box along with the locking arm restraints and the chain-break safety mechanism — the lift is ready to work once you add hydraulic oil and roll it into position.
