Description

Katool KT-222 Portable Auto Body Frame Puller

A crease in a quarter panel is a two-hour job with the right pull and a write-off with the wrong one. The tools that fit a small shop usually stop well short of the force that damage needs.

The Katool KT-222 puts 50 kN — 5 tons — of hydraulic force behind a saw-tooth chain, on a rig one person sets up in a single bay. Everything needed to pull is in the box: tower, hand pump, 3.5 m chain and six-claw hooks.

Why Choose the KT-222

It is a complete pulling setup at the price point where most shops are still improvising.

  • Complete pulling kit in the box — tower, hand pump, 3.5 m chain with hook and six-claw hooks, so the first job starts the day it lands.
  • 50 kN (5 tons) of hydraulic force — handles dents, creases and light structural damage that hand tools cannot move.
  • Saw-tooth chain positioning — toothed engagement holds the set pull angle through the whole stroke.
  • Horizontal and downward pulls — roof skins and upper quarters are in reach, not just bumper-height damage.

What's Included

  • Quick repair pulling tower — 1 set
  • Hydraulic hand pump — 1 set
  • 3.5 m chain with hook — 1 piece
  • Six-claw pulling hooks — 1 unit

Made For

Built for the shop or garage that pulls panels without a frame bench.

  • Small independent body shops
  • General repair shops adding panel work
  • Restoration and project builders
  • Mobile repair operations
  • Serious home garages

Features

  • 50 kN (5 ton) hydraulic pushing force — sized for dents, creases and light structure
  • Saw-tooth chain fixing system — positive engagement, no slip under load
  • Hydraulic hand pump — gradual, controlled force so metal is not overstretched
  • 3.5 m chain with hook — anchors well clear of the repair area
  • Six-claw pulling hooks — spread the load across a panel instead of one point
  • Support frame and lifting support — stabilises the section during the pull
  • Extended stroke range — more repair area per setup
  • 39.6 x 25.6 x 35.4 in, 143.3 lbs — one-person setup, fits a single bay

A Complete Pull, Not Just a Ram

Force alone does not fix a panel. The metal has to be held while it moves, and the chain has to stay where it was set.

The KT-222 covers both. The saw-tooth chain engages on teeth rather than friction, so the angle set at the start is the angle at the end of the stroke. The support frame and lifting support hold the damaged section square while the ram works, which is what turns a pull into a shaped repair instead of a stretch.

The six-claw hook does the same job at the panel end. Spreading load across several contact points keeps the sheet from tearing at the anchor, especially on thin modern skins.

Hand-Pumped Force, By Feel

The hydraulic hand pump is not a compromise. It gives the operator direct feedback on how the metal is responding: where it starts to give, where it stiffens, when to stop.

That control matters most on the last quarter inch, where the difference between correct contour and an overstretched panel is a few pump strokes. A powered ram removes that feel; a hand pump keeps it.

It also means no power drop and no compressor. The KT-222 works wherever the vehicle is, which suits shops that share space or techs who take work on site.

The Right Frame Puller for Your Shop

To start pulling panels properly without building a frame bay, the KT-222 is the tool: 50 kN of hand-pumped hydraulic force, a saw-tooth chain, and a complete hook and chain kit included.
